A video clip showing DK Goyal, founder chairman of popular coaching class FIITJEE, allegedly abusing staff on the official online meeting forum has sparked controversy.
Video clip Goyal holding virtual meeting with various centers of FIITJEE. The meeting held at least 10 days ago to allegedly discuss delayed salaries of FIITJEE employees was an open forum for employees to question Goyal on their suspicions.
One of the statements posted on the forum was about the company’s recent investment in the ed-tech industry, to which Goyal could be seen reacting angrily. Even as the employee pointed out that this information is already available in the public domain, Goyal is reacting strongly to the video.
In the video, Goyal allegedly used abusive language to an employee. He asked another employee to “throw” the person. While it is alleged that the employee at the receiving end was from the FIITJEE branch in Thane; There is no confirmation about this.
According to sources, FIITJEE employees have been struggling with salary delays for the past five months. The online video meeting with Goyal would provide a platform for employees to discuss their doubts with management.
Emails sent to FIITJEE on its official address did not elicit any response.
