Veteran Malayalam star Mohanlal He has been in the film industry for more than four decades. After acting in more than 400 films in various languages, Mohanlal recently donned the director’s cap and directed his first film, Baal Utanya. Barroz 3DIt is all set to hit the screens soon. As the movie gears up for a Christmas release, Mohanlal is excited to bring a 3D film to Malayalam cinema, 40 years after My Dear Kuttichathan (1984), dubbed into Hindi in 1998 as Chhota Chetan.
Talking about the ambitious film at its trailer launch in Mumbai on Wednesday, Mohanlal said, “Kerala is a small market institutionally, but things are changing now. Films are running in India. However, we (Malayalis) were the first to introduce CinemaScope, process 70mm and make the first co-produced film. We want to try something new. We made the first 3D film in Malayalam. Now after 40 years we have made another 3D film.”

Mohanlal also shared how he wants to work in Bollywood and be a part of more Hindi films. Stating that many of his films have been dubbed in Hindi, he said, ‘I have done one or two Hindi films. Even now, if someone calls me to do something, I do it. As actors, we don’t have that option. ” He had previously worked in director Ram Gopal Varma’s Company (2002) and Aag (2007), and Priyadarshan’s Tej (2012).
During the media interaction, the Malayalam legend also spoke Pushpa 2 Success and added, “I always pray to God that all the movies work. I am very happy for Pushpa 2.
