No-confidence motion to withdraw from Soros case Opposition bid: Rijiju | India news

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju condemned the opposition’s no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Speaker Jagdeep Dhankhar, calling it an attempt to divert attention from allegations of Congress’ links with George Soros.

“The Congress and its allies have repeatedly disrespected the President, and have not followed the instructions of the President,” Rijiju alleged in a statement. He said that the Congress was ‘in panic’ after its alliance with George Soros and the Congress and their anti-India activities came to light.

“Ever since the report of the equation between George Soros and the Congress leadership and the OCCRP, the Congress Party and its allies are in a panic… This (proposal) is an attempt to get away from the disclosure of the relationship between the OCCRP, George Soros and the Congress Party. Such counter-tactics will not succeed, He said.

Rijiju said the notice would be rejected by the House as the majority of members have “complete faith” in Speaker Dhankhar, who is a “learned person and a gentleman”.

“Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar hails from a poor farming family and is the first Vice President from the Jat community. And the Vice President always talks about the interests of the farmers, the poor, the country inside and outside the Parliament. He guides us. We respect him a lot. He is a very wise man. We are proud of him. I condemn the submitted information,’ said Rijiju.

‘The majority of members have full confidence in the Vice President. We are very happy with him,” he added.
