Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan plans to add two new floors to his Mumbai mansion Mannat. The landmark residence currently has two basements, a ground floor and six additional floors. According to a Hindustan Times report, the actor’s wife Gauri Khan has requested the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) to add another 616.02 square meters of area to add two more floors to the house.
According to the report, the estimated cost of the project is Rs 25 crore. The committee formed under the coordination of Principal Secretary (Environment) Pravin Darade will decide on Gauri Khan’s application on Wednesday. The application was filed on November 9. Mannat was formerly known as Villa Vienna. Shahrukh Khan shot a scene for the film Yes Bose on the bandstand, and developed a fondness for the heritage building built in 1914 by Nariman K Dubash. He bought the property in 2001. Due to its grade three heritage status, she was not allowed to make many adjustments to it. He built a six-story structure behind it known as the Mannat Annexe.
