Three people were injured when an SUV rammed into a roadside eatery on the Bodeli-Chota Udepur road section on Tuesday.
The incident happened at 1 am in the morning while serving customers till late at night in a Chinese restaurant made of bamboo and green cloth. An SUV slammed into the restaurant from one side, damaging the structure, crushing plastic tables and chairs and injuring three customers before fleeing, police said.
The Bodeli police station has started an investigation into the incident. CCTV footage of the incident showed the vehicle crashing into the restaurant as the SUV was seen passing through the premises trying to save customers’ lives. Police officials confirmed that three people were injured.
