Youth goes missing after giving re-examination: UT police refused to register a case, the family is investigating on its own Chandigarh news

A 25-year-old youth who came to Chandigarh University Gharuwan to retake the exam has been missing for the past 11 days.

Pawan, a BEd student from Sirsa, had gone to the university to take the exam on November 29. Minutes after calling his father to inform him that he was taking the bus home, he disappeared.

His uncle Mahendra said that after giving the exam, he used a borrowed phone to call his father and the screen of the phone broke and he reached home by bus. “We later tried to contact him, but his phone was not connected. There was no sign of trouble or trouble.”

The family rushed to the university, where they confirmed that Pawan had appeared in the exam. They also traced the phone used by Pawan to an autorickshaw driver near Sector 17 bus stand.

“The auto driver confirmed that the boy had used his phone. When we reached the Sector 17 police station, they directed us to register an FIR in Sirsa, though the last destination was Chandigarh,” Mahender said. “Even though we filed a case in Sirsa, no one helped us, so we are conducting our own investigation.
