Bengaluru Midnight Marathon: A look at traffic diversions in the city from December 14 afternoon Bangalore News

As part of the 17th Bengaluru Midnight Marathon scheduled on the midnight of December 14 and 15, the city traffic police issued an advisory banning vehicles on major roads from 3 pm on Thursday, December 14 to 5 am on December 15.

“Motorists are requested to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays. Traffic personnel will be deployed during the incident to regulate the flow of vehicles and assist the commuters,” said a statement issued by the Traffic Police Department.

Participants from more than 20 countries will participate in the Mega Marathon to be organized by Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor at KTPO, Whitefield.

According to the traffic advisory, traffic on the left side of the road is prohibited from Ginger Hotel Junction near Kundalahalli Metro Station to the gate behind ITPL.

Passengers heading towards Vyadehi and ITPL from Graphite India Junction are advised to take a right turn at Ginger Hotel and proceed towards ITPL back gate on the right side of the road. From there, they can reach Big Bazaar and take a left turn to continue towards Hudi. Those heading towards Hope Farm can take a right turn from Santiniketan and proceed to their destination via Hope Farm or Channasandra, the traffic police said in a release.

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses and heavy goods going from Kundalahalli towards Vyadehi should continue straight to Graphite India Junction, then turn left at Sumadhura Nandana Apartments, and proceed straight to Netapp Junction. From there, they can turn right and continue towards ITPL and Hope Farm, the advisor said.
