Mass marriage of 111 women in Surat Ahmedabad news

The PP Sawani Group, which runs health and education facilities in the state, organized a mass marriage program for 111 women in Surat, most of whom are daughters of single parents.

The two-day program will be held at PP Savani International School in Abrama, Surat.

Organizer Mahesh Sawani said, “Every year in December, we organize a group marriage program for orphaned women or daughters of single parents. So far we have married 5 thousand 274 orphans. This year the brides hail from different parts of Gujarat, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. Four of them have special disabilities.

“The program will be graced by the presence of Morari Bapu and 50 other priests, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state BJP chief and Union Water Power Minister CR Patil among others,” he said.

Taking responsibility

He added, “We will bear the entire expenses of the wedding and apart from this we will also bear the expenses of the first child’s education.” We will also bear the cost of the first delivery. Our aim is to take all the responsibilities for all these brides, like a father. “
