Amid disruption and repeated adjournments in both houses of Parliament, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee on Wednesday accused both the BJP and the Congress of obstructing proceedings.
Speaking to The Indian Express, TMC’s Serampur MP said, “When the BJP wants to disrupt the House it does so, when the Congress wants to disrupt the House it does so. It is happening every day. BJP MPs like Nishikant Dubey and others started raising slogans and the House It was adjourned. After asking one or two questions, the House was adjourned, but there are so many political parties in the Parliament.
After Congress accused industrialist Gautam Adani of bribery inside and outside Parliament, Banerjee said, “We have come here to do some business. Adani is not the only issue… there are many issues. Congress is stuck with Adani and BJP with George Soros. Does that mean all other problems will go away?”
Banerjee’s comments also come at a time when TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has shown interest in leading the Bharat Bloc, which is later backed by parties like RJD and Shiv Sena UBT.
