The BJP is likely to release the first list of 35 to 40 names by early December, according to party sources. While the full list is likely to include “many younger leaders” compared to its picks for the 2020 assembly polls, its pick for the New Delhi assembly constituency is likely to be the “highest profile” among candidates from the city’s 70 constituencies, sources said.

Party insiders said the name was finalized in discussions around them led by Delhi BJP in-charge Baijayant Panda, the state leadership led by state unit president Birendra Sachdeva and the RSS local unit.
