Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Friday that the state government is implementing various development policies to transform Maharashtra into the most developed state in India and will be the first to become a trillion dollar economy.
“We will be the first one trillion dollar economy state in the country. In the last financial year itself, we have successfully set the target and crossed the half trillion dollar benchmark,” Fadnavis said, adding that he is confident of crossing the one trillion dollar economy benchmark between 2028 and 2030. Fadnavis said that Mumbai is not only the financial capital of the country but will also become the fintech capital of India in the coming years. “The World Hindu Economic Forum has introduced various concepts in coordination with Indian culture based on the principles of development in various fields. There is a fundamental difference between Western culture and our culture. In Western culture only the able-bodied can develop, but in our culture every person born has the right and privilege to develop himself. “Yes,” said Fadnavis.
He said that India has emerged as the third superpower of the world and is moving ahead maintaining the fastest possible pace. Fadnavis said about the advisory committee formed to make the state the most developed region in the country. “The committee is studying the various areas where Maharashtra can progress and development policies are being planned based on that. Maharashtra is also creating a complementary chain for development at the global level. For this, the state government is creating a logistics policy to complement the high-speed road network infrastructure,” he said. said
Fadnavis also cited the 2020 National Development Survey which ranked Maharashtra first in the country in terms of recharged groundwater levels. Stating that the forest area in the state is gradually increasing, he said that the state government has emphasized on sustainable development through green energy and river linking projects.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a new policy to accelerate the development of the country. India has brought more than 250 million people below the poverty line in the last 10 years alone. We had set a target to make India a five trillion economy by 2030. Now we believe that this goal will be achieved by 2028,” he said.
